Limited space is available and sign-up is required. All meetings will take place at Mesa County Library's Central Branch (443 N. 6th St).

Fall 2023 Book Club: Evicted by Matthew Desmond

Set in the poorest areas of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Evicted follows eight families struggling to pay rent to their landlords during the financial crisis of 2007–2008. Evicted transforms our understanding of poverty and economic exploitation while providing fresh ideas for solving one of twenty-first-century America’s most devastating problems. Its unforgettable scenes of hope and loss remind us of the centrality of home, without which nothing else is possible.
