The Grand Junction Police Department responded to a report of a shooting which occurred in the area of 29 Road and North Avenue on 05/15/24, at approximately 3:20 p.m. Two males were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds and were pronounced deceased at the hospital. One person was detained and released after questioning. In our continued commitment to maintaining public trust, the Grand Junction Police Department reaffirms the importance of thorough investigations and evidence-based arrests. Detectives with the Grand Junction Police Department are awaiting results of video and audio enhancements related to the case, as well as lab results from other evidence collected. At this time, an arrest has not been made, and this investigation remains ongoing. There is no further information available at this time.
