From November 4 through November 8, 2024, the Grand Junction Police Department (GJPD) will proudly celebrate National Law Enforcement Records Personnel Week, recognizing the dedication and expertise of its records personnel who are essential to the operations of the agency. This team has earned Master Certification through the Colorado Certified Records Network and plays a vital role in the operations of the Grand Junction Police Department.

GJPD Records Specialists are responsible for a wide range of tasks that directly impact public safety and the justice system, including the maintenance and preservation of police records and data, and the handling of open records requests.  In 2023, this team processed over 10,000 cases and close to 5,000 open records requests.

“The Grand Junction Police Records Unit is the backbone of our agency,” said GJPD Civilian Manager, Amber Peck. “Their dedication and commitment to excellence makes a meaningful difference to our department and community every day.”

Please join us in recognizing the exceptional law enforcement records personnel of the Grand Junction Police Department who work tirelessly behind the scenes to support patrol officers and serve this community.
