On Saturday, February 8, 2025, the Grand Junction Police Department and Colorado State Patrol teamed up for a targeted DUI enforcement operation aimed at keeping roads safe ahead of Super Bowl Sunday. The joint DUI enforcement operation focused on identifying and removing impaired drivers from the road while promoting responsible decision-making behind the wheel.
The DUI enforcement operation took place from 10:00 p.m. through 4:00 a.m., during which officers conducted 34 traffic stops. As a result, five drivers were arrested for DUI, and one motorist was cited for traffic violations. Notably, no crashes occurred during this timeframe.
