On June 8, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 27 ½ Road and B ½ Road.
Officers responded to a residence on the back side of the 200 block of 27 ½ Road and learned an adult female experiencing a mental crisis had possibly pointed a gun and discharged it in the direction of an adult male in the house. Upon arrival, officers located the male and female engaged in a physical altercation in the yard. The female pointed the gun towards officers and retreated into the house. No shots were fired by officers at any time during the incident.
The Grand Junction Police Department Co-Responder Team responded to establish communication with the female. After several hours, the female stopped communication, and officers entered the home to perform a safety sweep and found the female unconscious but breathing inside the residence. The female was transported to the hospital by the Grand Junction Fire Department. There were no injuries sustained in this incident.
This incident occurred in the same area as a previous report of shots fired on June 7, 2025, in which no evidence of shots fired, or criminal activity was found. At this time, it is unknown whether the two incidents are related.
