GJPD Responds to Fatal Crash

On December 10, 2025, at approximately 6:05 a.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department and personnel with the Grand Junction Fire Department responded to the 2600 block of Patterson Road for a vehicle-versus-building crash. Upon arrival, officers found that a vehicle traveling westbound on Patterson Road had crossed through oncoming traffic and struck a building. The driver is suspected to have experienced a medical emergency prior to the collision. No occupants inside the building were injured.

Despite lifesaving efforts by paramedics from the Grand Junction Fire Department, the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Mesa County Coroner's Office will release the identity of the deceased after appropriate next of kin notifications have been made.

This crash remains under active investigation. Alcohol is not believed to be a contributing factor. No further information is available at this time.
