GJPD Makes Early Morning Drug Arrests

Grand Junction, CO – On September 23, 2025, at approximately 4:40 a.m., Grand Junction Police Department offers on routine patrol observed a suspicious vehicle trespassing in Columbine Park (540 28 ¼ Road) after hours.

Officers contacted the driver, who appeared to be under the influence of controlled substances, and noticed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. A second individual traveling with the driver was also contacted. During the investigation, officers located additional paraphernalia and suspected controlled substances. In total, officers seized more than 150 grams of methamphetamine and a large amount of cash.

The suspects, identified as Jennifer Wyatt (42) and Paul Heinrich (70), were taken into custody without incident. Both were booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute Controlled Substances, Unlawful Possession of over 4 Grams of Schedule I/II Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Trespass. Wyatt is also charged with Unlawful Use of Controlled Substances.

This case remains under investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
