Welcome to the City of Grand Junction's Child Care Facility!

The City of Grand Junction is proud to operate an employee-based child care facility dedicated to serving the children of our city employees and the community, from 6 weeks to six years of age. Established with the support of an $800,000 state-funded Employee-Based Child Care grant and an additional $600,000 from the City Council, our facility is designed to provide high-quality child care for its City Employees and beyond. The Little Learners facility is a Level 4 Colorado Shines Program.
“Serving the loved ones of those that serve the community is an honor,” said Human Resources Director Shelley Caskey. “This facility and the dedicated staff providing care for the children of city employees will ultimately help the City attract and retain staff in what continues to be a tight labor market.”

Construction and renovation of the facility began in January 2022 and was completed in September 2022. The licensed childcare facility is operated by the Parks and Recreation Department in the renovated portion of the facility.
