Community Accommodations

If you need accommodation to access City services or files that meet your needs (e.g. mapping, construction/development plans, or to complete an application or other documentation), staff are available to assist you by calling 970-254-3866.  In addition, the City has several resources available:

  • For languages other than English, please use the Google Translate button available on the bottom right corner of each page of the City website
  • Interpretation via live remote on-demand video, including ASL, is available in-person at all City Customer Service windows and during in-person appointments scheduled with City staff
  • For TTY, dial 800-659-2656 or 711 for the relay service, or use the TTY mode on your cell phone

We Make It Better! 42 parks, over 21 miles of bike paths, over 500 acres of open space, and recreational activities offered year-round. Grand Junction Parks & Recreation is committed to offering the Grand Valley a great selection of recreational activities to fit everyone’s personal needs. Check out our Seasonal Activity Guide for programs and events happening all year long! Head out to one of the beautiful parks, plan a picnic under a shelter, romp around one of our playgrounds, or make a splash at the Lincoln Park-Moyer Pool and Orchard Mesa Pool.

The Parks & Recreation system includes 350 acres of developed parks, 111 acres of cemetery, 55 acres of school grounds, and more than 598 acres of open space (for recreation) and 443 additional acres such as right-of-ways, medians, and roundabouts.
