Overview
The Judicial Performance Committee is a committee established by City Code for the specific purpose of evaluating the performance of the Municipal Judge. As such, the committee does not adopt separate bylaws; its authority, responsibilities, and procedures are fully defined in the Municipal Code.
The City is committed to convening the Judicial Performance Committee in a consistent and transparent manner to ensure compliance with the Municipal Code and to support public confidence in the Municipal Court.

The Commission must include at least one City resident who is not a licensed attorney, and at least two licensed attorneys engaged in the practice of law who either are City residents or maintain or regularly practice law within the City. As to the attorney members, an effort shall be made to appoint one attorney whose employment relates to criminal prosecution and one attorney whose employment relates to the defense of criminal cases. Each member is appointed to a four-year term. You must be a city resident to apply.
