Delivery
A city staff member will drop off and pick up the Block Party Trailer. To be efficient with staff time and resources, we may drop the trailer off a day before the event and pick it up a day or two after. For example, we commonly drop the trailer off on a Friday and then pick it up on Monday for a weekend event. We ask that you find a location that makes it easy to maneuver. Be sure that the trailer is in a location where it can stay for the duration of your rental. You will not be able to move the trailer once it is delivered.
Be sure to find the right space
Block Party Trailer #1 is 7 feet wide, 16 feet long, and 7 feet 6 inches tall. Block Party Trailer #2 is 7 feet 8 inches wide, 16 feet long, and 8 feet 2 inches tall. The front or tongue side of the Block Party Trailer needs to be clear for delivery and pick-up for the truck that will be towing. Please make sure no vehicles or other obstructions are blocking the area where you’d like the trailer to be located. The Block Party Trailer cannot be parked in alleyways.
Street Closure
Street closures will be considered for local, low-volume streets (approx. 500 vehicles a day), primarily in residential areas. You will need to submit a Street Closure Permit at least three weeks in advance of your party date. We will provide everything necessary for the street closure within the trailer. It is possible to receive a street closure permit without renting a Block Party Trailer if the closure equipment is available. Closing the street without a proper permit is illegal and could result in fines, criminal charges, or a lawsuit.
