The Patrol Unit is the largest and most visible unit of the Grand Junction Police Department, acting as the front line in the fight against crime. Patrol is responsible for all types of emergency and non-emergency calls for service. The unit, comprised of uniformed patrol officers in marked vehicles, is responsible for answering to calls for service, addressing domestic and civil disputes, and apprehending criminal offenders.
Patrol is divided into three watches to provide 24-hour service to our community. The Grand Junction Police Department patrols roughly 39 square miles of city limits, comprised of almost 70,000 residents.
